Part-Time Animal Control Officer

The City of Mexico is accepting applications for the position of part-time Animal Control Officerfor the Mexico Animal Shelter. 

The position involves duties of patrolling City for unlicensed pets, animals at large and other violations of City animal ordinance. Issue warning or summons to owners for pets in violation of ordinances. Responds to telephone and radio calls, investigate animal related incidents and impound unlicensed, strays and other animals.

Requirements are:   Must be 18 years of age, excellent work history, a valid Missouri Operators or Chauffeur’s license, willing to work outdoors, and a desire to work with animals of all types.  The position will involve about 20 hours per week; Monday-Friday 4pm-8pm.The starting hourly rate will be $16.87, wage commensurate with experience.
