The CITY OF MEXICO, MISSOURI will receive Bids for TAP 4400 (311) MULDROW SIDEWALKS PHASE I until 2:00 PM local time on September 22, 2020 at CITY HALL, 300 NORTH COAL STREET, MEXICO, MISSOURI, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids are invited upon the items and quantities of work as follows:
Muldrow Sidewalks Phase I including removal of improvements, sidewalks, curb ramps, paved approaches, and miscellaneous site improvements.
Electronic contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications may be downloaded for a non-refundable fee of $15.00 at www.questcdn.com by imputing Quest Project #7286579. Hard copies are the responsibility of the contractor. QuestCDN is an online plan room and all users are required to sign up for a free account. Work will be performed following the Missouri Department of Transpo1iation Standard Specifications, 2019, and the special provisions in the contract documents.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of City of Mexico, Missouri, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon
Prevailing Wage Act.
The City of Mexico, Missouri, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by sociallyand economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full oppo1iunity to submit bids inresponse to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The Bid will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
Bids may be held by the City of Mexico, Missouri for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
