INVITATION TO BID
FOR THE CITY OF MEXICO, MISSOURI
Sealed bids will be received for the 2017 Concrete Project, at the office of the Public Works Department, for the City of Mexico, Missouri until 2:00p.m. local time on the 24th day of May, 2017 at City Hall, 300 North Coal, Mexico, Missouri 65265, at which time and place all bids will be opened and read aloud. All bids shall be submitted in the form of a hard copy.
Drawings, specifications and other related contract information may be ordered online at planroom.adsmo.net or by contacting American Document Solutions at 1400 Forum Boulevard, Suite 1C, Columbia, MO 65203, Phone 573-446-7768 fax 573-355-5433 for a nonrefundable deposit of $ 35. Checks shall be made payable to ADS and mailing costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. Specifications, addenda and a plan holders list are available at planroom.adsmo.net.
A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount equal to 5% (five percent) of the total amount of the bid must accompany each proposal as bid security.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the date of opening of bids.
As a condition for the award of any contract in excess of five thousand ($5,000) the bidders shall supply with their bid a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming it’s enrollment and participation in a federal work authorization program with respect to the employees working in connection with the contracted services. Bidder shall also supply a signed affidavit affirming that it does not knowingly employ any person who as an unauthorized alien in connection with the contracted services.
If this contract involves the construction, reconstruction, demolition, painting, or major repair of any facility of the City, Bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 Days of award of the contract. Failure to provide training and maintain documentation of the training, may result in penalties under RSMO 292.675.
Minimum wage rates for this contract shall be prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri. The wage rates are set forth in the contract documents, and are to be considered as a part of this Invitation to Bid.
THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS. THE OWNER FURTHER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO WAIVE ANY IRREGULARITIES IN ANY OR ALL BIDS, AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE WHICH IS THE MOST RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER AND TO REJECT OR APPROVE THE BID.
