Sealed bids will be received electronically for the cast in place pipe lining of sanitary sewers, and the lining and sealing of manholes, until _Jan 16, 2018, 2:00 pm_. at City Hall, 300 North Coal, Mexico, Missouri 65265, at which time and place all bids will be opened and read aloud.
All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file with the Public Works Director, City of Mexico, 300 N Coal, City of Mexico, Missouri, 65265.
Copies of the bidding documents (Invitation to Bid, Instructions to Bidders, Bid form, Agreement form, Construction Performance Bond and Construction Payment Bond forms, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Detailed Specifications and Drawings) desired for bidding purposes may be viewed at www.bidexpress.com. Bids must be completed electronically through Bid Express.
A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount equal to 5% (five percent) of the total amount of the bid must accompany each proposal as bid security.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the date of opening of bids.
As a condition for the award of any contract in excess of five thousand dollars ($5,000) the bidders shall supply with their bid a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming its enrollment and participation in a federal work authorization program with respect to the employees working in connection with the contracted services. Bidder shall also supply a signed affidavit affirming that it does not knowingly employ any person who as an unauthorized alien in connection with the contracted services.
If this contract involves the construction, reconstruction, demolition, painting, or major repair of any facility of the City, Bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 Days of award of the contract. Failure to provide training and maintain documentation of the training, may result in penalties under RSMO 292.675.
Minimum wage rates for this contract shall be prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri. The wage rates are set forth in the contract documents, and are to be considered as a part of this Invitation to Bid.
The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The owner further reserves the right to waive any irregularities in any or all bids, and reserves the right to determine which is the most responsive, responsible bidder and to reject or approve the bond.
