The City Manager is responsible for the following: General administration of the City government
Advising the City Council on policy matters
Implementing policies of the Council
Appointing City employees
Preparing the annual budget for consideration by the City Council
Enforcing all ordinances
Further duties include preparation of material for Council meetings, preparation of regular and special management reports, handling citizen inquiries and service requests, and generally supervising and coordinating the activities of the City government.
In addition, the City Manager is responsible for the implementation of all City personnel activities as well as the coordination of various State and Federal grant applications.
