The City Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining all permanent records, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and minutes of Council Meetings for the City.

The City Clerk issues all business and liquor licenses for the City of Mexico. Mexico City Code requires all persons providing any goods or services to be licensed. See Mexico's City Code for more detailed information.
