Plunkett Play

Plunkett Park is an 84 acre park located at 1201 Park Road bordering Mexico High School.

Features

  • Mexico's newest all-inclusive playground featuring wheelchair accessible play features, checkerboard pattern that serves as a visual warning of dangerous zones, protective rubber tile and artificial turf fall surfacing that reduces injuries, partial fencing to creature a safe zone that allows children to play freely and antimicrobial coating on play surfaces.

Shelters

Lawrence Shelter is located west of the playground. It has 15-18 tables and can accommodate approximately 150 people.

Stuart Shelter is located south of Kiwanis Lake. It has  4 tables and can accommodate approximately 24 people.

Dorcas Trail

The trail is located at the end of Dorcas Street and located within Plunkett Park. This 1 mile trail winds through native trees and is on the west side of Plunkett Park. It is a great place to exercise, bird watch or enjoy a casual walk. Paved parking is available at the end of Dorcas Street.
